Recovery is the key and wetting agents are a cornerstone in that process. With wetting agents, you will get consistency in soil moisture which will aid in even germination and recovery of the dormant turf. Wetting agents come in multiple forms: Sprayable, Injectable and Granular.  Characteristics of the area to be treated will determine the best form of wetting agent to use. Granular wetting agent products have improved significantly in recent years. They are found in combination with lime or with many types of fertilizer. The type of recovery the superintendent is looking for will determine the form of wetting agent and the combinations of other products to use for best results.
